My name is Randy Belk. I am a Student Pastor and the director of SYNERGY Student Ministries in Lincolnton, NC. God called me to student ministry as a senior in high school. For the past twenty-one years that is what I have done. It has not been smooth sailing the entire way, but how much fun would it be if it had? This whole experience is a wonderful journey. Each bend in the trail provides more excitement and opportunities to grow in my walk with God. If you are a fellow believer, it is nice to have you along for the trip. If you are not, I pray that you will allow God to speak to you and call you into the greatest adventure ever. Please, feel free to comment and engage in discussion. Who knows what God might teach us?
One of the things I realize about being a follower of Christ is that there is a constant need to examine ourselves, not by comparing ourselves to each other, but by comparing ourself to God and His Word. This blog is a product of that examination. It allows me to give voice to some of the struggles I have with living out my faith, while at the same time allowing me to point a loving finger back at the Church in areas that we need to take a closer look at to see if we are “doing in right” when it comes to how we are presenting Christ to the world.
Along with being a full-time student pastor, I also speak at various events. Along with this I also perform as a Christian Illusionist. Over the years I have had the privilege of speaking at various rallies and events along with preforming my illusionist act at various events. If you are interested in contacting me about either speaking at a youth event, or preforming as an illusionist for your church or Upward end of season celebration you can contact me at randybelk@bellsouth.net

Randy the site is great. Keep doing what God has called you to do. You have such a wonderful group in your student ministry. My site is going to be used for the Crosswalk classes and other discussions.
One thought for the day… when presented with the challenge of being the light to a very different cultural group everyday how do you show God’s love, truth and still bridge the gap of cultural differences without being offensive to the others.
